Mises and Liberal Nationalism
Many might be surprised when they read Nation, State, and Economy to learn that Mises was a nationalist. But he carefully distinguished "liberal nationalism" (which might be considered the nationalism of the Revolutions of 1848) as against "imperial nationalism" of Bismarck's Prussia and Czarist Russia.
